Williamsburg-Patrick Arnold Thrune was born October 27 1952 in Winona, MN, the son of Raphael and Betty Jean (Stuck) Thrune. He graduated from Cotter High School in Winona and was currently attending Kirkwood Community College. Patrick has resided in Cedar Rapids, Swisher and in Williamsburg since 1999. He has worked for Rockwell since 1996. Patrick enjoyed bowling, fishing and being a hospice volunteer. Patrick died Sunday December 19, 2010 at the Marengo Memorial Hospital in Marengo at the age of 58 years. He is survived by his wife of 30 years: Patricia Soukup of Williamsburg; his parents: Raphael and Betty Thrune of Winona; two brothers: Nick (Pam) Thrune of St. Paul, MN and Tony (Angela) Thrune of Prairie du Sac, WI and a sister: Ann (Perry) Christensen of Owatonna, MN and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Fairfax. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Church. There will also be a Mass at 10:00 AM Thursday, December 23, 2010 at the Cathedral of Sacred Heart Church in Winona, MN. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until service time. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Winona. Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Williamsburg are in charge of local arrangements. Memorials are for the Williamsburg Q.R.S.(Quick Responder Service) or donor's choice. Messages and tributes may be left at www.powellfuneralhomes.com under obituaries.
