Patricia "Pat" Richenberger, 64, of Mediapolis, IA, died Saturday, October 13, 2012, at her home following a lengthy illness. Visitation will begin after 12:00 noon on Tuesday, October 16th, at the Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. that evening. Family and friends should plan to meet at 9:30 a.m., on Wednesday, October 17th, at Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel for a procession to Richwood Cemetery. A graveside service will be held at the cemetery. Should weather be inclement, the graveside service will take place at the Memorial Chapel. Memorials may be given to Great River Hospice. Born January 30, 1948, in Mt. Pleasant, IA, Patricia Jane was the daughter of Herman and Lucille Parker Whaley. She was a 1966 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School. She married Max Craig "Rick" Richenberger on May 31, 1968, in Kahoka, MO. Pat worked for many years on the line at Heatilator when she was younger. She also worked for Brother International, as part of their quality assurance team, for 16 years in Memphis, TN. Pat and her husband returned to Mediapolis in 2008. Pat was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Family was her top priority and many looked to her as a mother. Pat was a devoted Bears and Steelers fan. She also was a NASCAR fanatic and liked watching both Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Along with her husband, Pat is survived by a son, John Richenberger of Morning Sun, IA; a grandson, Nate Richenberger of Kathleen, GA; two brothers, Richard Whaley of Keokuk, IA and Gary (Jean) Whaley of Effingham, IL; and two sisters, Joyce (Kenny) Stevens of Hillsboro, IA, and Janice Sinclair of New London, IA. She is also survived by three goddaughters, Cindy Beard, Mayree Workmann, and Jenni Foreman; two godsons, Tim Robertson and Russ Bethea; and one grand-goddaughter, Rachel Foster. Pat was preceded in death by her parents.
