Patricia (Patty) Ferreira

Patricia (Patty) Ferreira, age 61, of Williamsburg, died Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at her home. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, rural Victor, with Pastor Stuart Rethwisch officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Monday, January 2, 2023 at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. A memorial fund has been established. Kloster Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Patty Ferreira was born in Aberdeen, Maryland, the daughter of Donald and Bernice Young. She married Richard Ferreira on June 13, 1987, in Nampa, Idaho.  They moved to the Williamsburg area in 1992.

Patty had a long career in retail and worked for her favorite company Ralph Lauren where she was a store manager.  Her spirit and joyfulness made her a joy to be near and this is how she created and maintained long and loyal friendships.

Patty's favorite hobby was shopping and she loved the thrill of the casino.  She loved helping others and making them feel good.  No matter the occasion if she was able to help she would be there.

Patty is survived by one daughter Gina Nelson, Kentucky; one son Brian (Veronica) Ferreira, Kalona; eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard, one sister, and four brothers.
