Patricia McNeeley

Patricia McNeeley, 64, of Mt. Pleasant, IA, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at Park Place Elder Living. According to her wishes, the body has been cremated. The family will be hosting a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2013, in the Fellowship Hall of the First United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to Henry County Health Center Foundation and Iowa Hospice. Born July 3, 1948 in Burlington, IA, Patricia Ann was the daughter of Ronald Gordon and Mary Louise (Heizer) McNeeley. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1966. She then attended Burlington Hospital School of Nursing receiving her nursing degree in 1969. A lifelong caregiver, Pat worked as a nurse at Henry County Health Center for many years. She also provided her nursing services to various Hospice and visiting nurse's associations. She retired from her work in 2006. Having a passion for traveling, Pat cherished her adventures to many worldwide locations. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was an avid crafter of counted cross stitch and needlework pictures. Survivors include a sister, Linda (Allan) Reed of Spickard, MO; four aunts, Ruth Wagner of Burlington, IA, Marj McKim of Mt. Pleasant, IA, Doris (Earl) Garrels of Danville, IA, and Betty McNeeley of Strongsville, OH; an uncle, Jack McNeeley of Lowell, IA; and numerous cousins. Preceding Pat in death are her parents.
