KEOTA-Pamela J. Smith, age 52, of Keota, died Sunday, December 23, 2012, at Parkview Manor in Wellman. Pam was born July 4, 1960, in Maysville, Kentucky, to Frank and Wanda (Kidder) Smith. She graduated from High School in Ohio and received her LPN. Pam has lived in Keota the past 20 years. She worked as a nurse at Parkview Manor in Wellman and Greenwood Manor in Iowa City. Pam enjoyed shopping, reading, puzzles and being with her friends. Survivors include her step-mother: Linda Woodruff of Keota; two brothers: Frank of Maysville, Kentucky and Dennis of Aberdeen, Ohio and two sisters: Vickie of Maysville, Kentucky and Denise of Aberdeen, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister: Kimberly. Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 28, 2012, at Prairie Flower Baptist Church in rural Washington, with Pastor Don Collings officiating. Burial will be at Keota Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Friday at the church. A memorial fund has been established for Prairie Flower Baptist Church or Iowa Hospice.
