Pamela Davidshofer, 52, of Salem, IA, died Sunday, March 9, 2008, at the Park Place Long Term Care Unit, following a courageous battle with cancer. Mrs. Davidshofer has donated her body to the Carver College of Medicine for medical research. Visitation will be held from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2008, at the Faith Christian Outreach Church. A memorial service will then follow at 2:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Monte Knudsen officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to the Davidshofer family or to the Faith Christian Outreach Church. Born September 10, 1955, in Winterset, IA, Pamela Mae was the daughter of Lawrence T. and Naomi Katherine (Boatwright) Hartfield. She attended Iowa Western College in Clarinda, IA. Pamela married Jerry Ball in 1971. The couple later divorced. On August 3, 1983, she married George Micheal Davidshofer in Conroe, TX. Pamela was a homemaker. She also managed the Tri-Ad Office Building in Conroe. She loved all animals and was a veterinarian's assistant in Winterset, IA. Pamela enjoyed visiting with friends in coffee shops and especially loved spending time with her family. She was a member of the Avon President's Club. Pamela was an active member of Faith Christian Outreach Church. Along with her husband, George of Salem, IA, she is survived by her mother of Winterset; one son Jerry (Judy) Ball of Hollister, MO; three daughters, Tina Ball of Ft. Madison, IA, Terri (Gary) Dubar, of Mt. Pleasant, IA, and Cheyenne Davidshofer of Salem, IA; two stepsons, Jeff Davidshofer of Coin, IA, and Aaron (Karen) Davidshofer of New Market, IA. She is also survived by two brothers Larry (SueAnn) Hartfield of Winterset, IA, and Tom (Sylvia) Hartfield, stationed with the United States Army in Iraq; two sisters Kathi (Jim) Bryan and Anne (Gary Davis) Withers all of Winterset, IA; six grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren. Pamela was preceded in death by her father and a granddaughter, Zoe Ball.
