Ole Boone was born March 12, 1946 in Washington, Iowa the son of Marvin and Adella "Peg" (Wasson) Boone. He attended Mid-Prairie High School. He served in the Army during the Vietnam war. Ole has lived all of his life in the Wellman community, where he owned and operated the Farmers Tavern for several years and was a bartender. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing golf . Ole died suddenly on Monday, August 16, 2004 at his home in Wellman at the age of 58 years. Ole is survived by a special friend - Annie Smith of Wellman; a brother - Butch Boone and wife Mary of Wellman; 2 sisters - Connie McKray and husband Jim of Riverside; Paula Lampe and husband Dale of Keota; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister Jackie Boone.
