Nicholas "Nick" J. Dye

Nicholas “Nick” J. Dye, age 37, of Marengo, passed away at his home on Thursday, January 28, 2021. A private Memorial Service will be held at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo with Father Corey Close officiating. A memorial fund has been established.

Nick is survived by his mother, Judy (Larry) Madsen of Marengo; his brother, Adam Dye of Marengo; and his grandmother, Janet Kaalberg of Marengo. Also surviving Nick are his aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Danny; his grandparents, Ambrose Kaalberg and Jim and Betty Dye.

Nicholas James Dye was born January 28, 1984 in Cedar Rapids the son of Danny Dye and Judith Kaalberg Madsen. He graduated from HLV High School with the class of 2002. Nick attended Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids and Williamsburg for computer science. He worked at Price Creek Event Center in Amana and the Tiffin Rest Area. Nick enjoyed playing video games and online gaming. He loved attending family gatherings.
