Nicholas Joseph Adam

WELLMAN - Nicholas "Nick" Joseph Adam was born June 8, 1965 the son of Vernon "Bud" and Rose Marie (Cupp) Adam. He graduated from Mid-Prairie High School in 1984 and attended Kirkwood Community College. Nick had lived in Columbus Junction, Keota and Wellman. He had worked for Kalona Plastics and Proctor and Gamble. Nick was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Nick died on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at his home in Wellman. He was 50 years old.
Nick is survived by his son Brandon Adam of Wellman; 4 brothers and 2 sisters - Jim (Cindy) Adam of Kalona; Mary Kay (Amos) Borntreger of Sarasota, Florida; Kenneth (Vicki) Adam of Kalona; Sandra (Rodney) Joseph of Williamsburg; David (Susan) Adam of Kalona; Jeff (Jennifer) Adam of Iowa City; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Wellman with Rev. David Brownfield PhD officiating. Burial will be in the Wellman Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-7 P.M. on Friday at the Powell Funeral Home in Wellman. A memorial fund has been established for Nick's son Brandon.
