Nettie Ada Fehlberg

Nettie Ada Fehlberg was born December 3, 1919 in Shickley, Nebraska, the daughter of Lloyd and Emma (Kennel) Troyer. She moved to Iowa City, Iowa in 1937. On April 8, 1944 Nettie was united in marriage to William Fehlberg in Wellman. They farmed in rural South English until moving into Wellman in 1979. Nettie was a member of the Wellman Mennonite Church and the Wellman Garden Club. Nettie died on Saturday, July 9, 2016, at the LaGrange Hospital in LaGrange, Indiana at the age of 96 years.

Nettie is survived by 3 daughters: Connie(Gerri} Beachy of Middlebury, IN; Charlene (Ron) Roth of LaGrange, IN; Patricia (Norman) Finkner of LaJunta, CO; a son Randall (Carrie) Fehlberg of Jasper, IN; 21 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 3 sisters: Verda Troyer, Alta Troyer and Della Yoder all of Kalona. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Sandra Fehlberg. 4 brothers: Ivan, Warren, Lloyd, Wilbur, and 2 sisters: Ida Kliewer and Wilma Becker.

Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 on Friday, July 15, 2016 at the Wellman Mennonite Church. Pastor Nathan Ramer and Pastor Ron Kennel will officiate. Burial will be held prior to the service at 9:30 in the Wellman Mennonite Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 pm on Thursday at the Powell Funeral Home in Wellman. A memorial fund has been established for Wellman Mennonite Church.
