Miriam Graber was born May 29, 1955 in Aylmer, Ontario, Canada the daughter of Homer and Rachel (Wagler) Graber. She was baptized in her youth in the Old Order Amish Church where she remained a faithful member until her death. Miriam has lived in the Kalona community since 1981. Miriam passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at the age of 62 years.
Miriam is survived by her mother Rachel Graber of Kalona; siblings: Leona (Levi) Eicher of Belvidere, TN; Alvin (Mary Edna) Graber of Riverside; Sara Mae (Raymond) Mast of Chili, WI; Alvin Yoder of Windsor, MO; Reuben Graber of Atglen, PA; Freida Graber of Paradise, PA; Philip (Dorinda) Graber of Sarasota, FL; Orpha (Monroe) Ropp of Kalona; Fannie (Delmar) Hershberger of Kalona; Joe (Karen) Graber of Kalona; 56 dearly beloved nieces and nephews; and many special great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Homer, a brother Leroy Graber, a sister Esther Yoder, 2 nieces and a nephew.
Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 AM Sunday, October 1, 2017, at the Graber family home at 1010 Kiwi Ave SW, Kalona, Iowa. Minister in charge is David Kauffman. Burial will be in the Brenneman Cemetery. Visitation will be all day on Friday and Saturday, September 29th and 30th at the Graber family home. The Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona is caring for Miriam and her family.
