Mildred Mary McGuire

Millersburg- Mildred Mary McGuire was born July 18, 1930 in Millersburg, Iowa, the daughter of George A and Sarah A (Holderness) Van Dee. She attended various country schools and was a life long resident of the Millersburg Community. Mildred was united in marriage to Lloyd H McGuire on April 25, 1950 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. She was a former member of Tilton EMC and served with the Ladies Group. She enjoyed embroidery, reading, canning, baking, quilting and gardening. Mildred died on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at Compass Memorial Hospital in Marengo, Iowa at the age of 92 years.

She is survived by her children: Kenneth (Leatrice) McGuire, Marvin McGuire, Virginia McGuire, Vivian (Jeffrey) Clark, Martha (Tadd) Wiseman, Harlan (Kim) McGuire, Carl McGuire, Neva (Bruce) Redlinger, Larry (Michele) McGuire, Dwight (Svetalana) McGuire and Lyle McGuire. 20 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren 9 great, great grandchildren; a brother George Van Dee; a sister Ann Berstler; and a half sister Emily Ranirez. She was preceded by her parents, husband, twin brothers Ambrose & Anthony Van Dee, and three half sisters Helen Mendenhal, Pat Parsons and Mary George.

Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 am, on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at the Powell Funeral Home in North English. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, rural North English.
