DELTA-Mildred Isabelle McNabb, age 93, of Delta, died Sunday, June 18, 2006, at the Sigourney Care Center, following a brief illness. Mildred was born January 4, 1913, near What Cheer, Iowa, to Thomas Edward and Dora Ellen (Barber) Molyneux. She lived in Colorado from 1919 until 1929 and graduated from What Cheer High School in 1930. On June 1, 1934, she married Keith Loren Moore at the Little Brown Church in Nasua, Iowa. On December 30, 1949 she married Rex Virgil McNabb in Sigourney. The couple farmed west of Sigourney until Rex's death in 1987. Mildred taught school for 25 years, seven of which were in rural schools. She also drove the Senior Citizens Mini Bus for 10 years. Mildred moved to an apartment in Delta in 1996 and became a resident of the Sigourney Care Center in 2004. She was a member of the Delta United Methodist Church, where she was active in a prayer group and Bible study. She was also a member of LaGrange, I.S.E.A., Farm Bureau and the P.T.A. Mildred enjoyed bowling and country square dancing. Survivors include one son: Gary Lee Moore of Phoenix, Arizona; one grandson: Daryl E. Moore and wife Debbi of Cedar Rapids; two great grandchildren: Shannon and Christopher and one sister: Eva Hankins of Sigourney. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; two granddaughters: Rochelle and Dana Moore; one brother: Freddie Molyneux; two sisters: Dorothy Molyneux and Emmaline Trier and two half brothers: Charley and Esli Molyneux. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 21, 2006, at the Reynolds-Powell Funeral Chapel in Sigourney, with Vince Homan officiating. Burial will be at Garrett Cemetery near Delta. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2006, at the Reynolds-Powell Funeral Chapel in Sigourney. A memorial fund has been established for Hospice of Keokuk County. Reynolds-Powell Funeral Chapel and Cremation Service in Sigourney is handling the arrangements.
