Williamsburg- Michael Wayne Hiatt, was born December 13, 1962, in Corydon, Iowa, the son of Ronald J. and Margaret (Dunshee) Smith. He served in the United States Army Reserves and he worked as an electrician. On December 13, 2002, he married Denise Benner in Wapello, Iowa. Michael died suddenly on January 10, 2011, at his home in Williamsburg, at the age of 48 years. He is survived my his wife Denise of Williamsburg; a brother Mark Hiatt of Arlington, Texas; his parents Margaret Hindman of Arlington, TX and Maehlin Hiatt of Gun Barrel City, TX. He was preceded in death by his father Ronald J. Smith and his grandparents. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM on Friday, January 14, 2011, at the Powell Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Williamsburg. Pastor Kirk Statler will officiate.
