Michael L. “Mike” Beyer, age 55, of Marengo, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Compass Memorial Heathcare. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m., Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 27, 2022 at the First United Methodist Church, Marengo, with Pastor Joseph Blay officiating. Burial will be in Koszta Cemetery, Koszta. Memorials may be contributed in Mike’s name to Essence of Life Hospice, in Amana.

Mike is survived by his parents, Larry and Nancy; his fiancée, Lisa Noethe, of Koszta, and her children, Katrina Fonseca, of Cedar Rapids, Scotie (Taryn) Noethe, of Cedar Rapids and Alicia (Brandon) Osborn, of Victor; a brother, John Beyer, of Lannon, WI; two uncles, Lynn Beyer, of Jewell and Mike (Cindy) Warner, of Marion; two aunts, Vicki Fagerstorm, of Des Plaines, IL and Gwenda (Jim) Timm, of Victor; and three cousins, Jennifer Beyer, of Missouri, Kimberly Moffitt, of Ames and Amelia Warner, of Marion.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Howard and Mildred Beyer and Perle and Eva Warner; two uncles, John Fagerstorm and Dean Warner; an aunt, Sue Beyer; a cousin, Chad Beyer; and his loyal companion, his Labrador Gomer.

Mike was born September 5, 1966, in Iowa Falls, the son of Larry and Nancy (Warner) Beyer. He graduated with the class of 1985 from Iowa Valley High School. During his senior year, he was awarded the most contributing member of FFA and the public speaking award. Following high school, Mike traveled to Arizona and worked at an Arabian horse farm. From there, he ventured on to California, before moving back home to live in Iowa and partner with his dad, working Beyer Farms together, until it became Koszta Farm Corp. Mike loved field work, especially planting corn, while driving his favorite red colored, Case IH tractors. He enjoyed hobby stock car racing and was named “Rookie of the Year” at the Vinton race track. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR, and was a Minnesota Vikings fan. Mike was very mechanically inclined and loved to build and tinker with things in the shop.

The family would like to thank Essence of Life Hospice, of Amana for the wonderful care Mike received as well as his family and friends.
