Williamsburg-Michael Orlen Glandorf was born October 9, 1962 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Orlen Arnold and Loretta Ann (Roberts) Glandorf. He graduated from Williamsburg High School in 1981 and attended DeVry Institute of Technology in Kansas City. Michael was united in marriage to Dea Marie Back on April 23, 1988 in Williamsburg. To this marriage they were blessed with three children Brandy, Nathan and Evan. They later divorced. Michael was a self employed landscaper and farmer. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church were he has served on the Stewardship Board. Michael enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing and listening to music. Michael died Thursday, November 1, 2007 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics after a sudden illness at the age of 45 years. Michael is survived by his former wife and their children: Dea Weck, Brandy, Nathan and Evan; his parents: Orlen and Loretta Glandorf; a sister: Cheryl (Jeff) Beasley; a brother: Larry Glandorf; nieces and nephews: Mariah, Austin and Brooke Beasley and Ethan, Christian and Tyler Glandorf and Michael's special friend and her children: Cindy Petz, Adam and Jackson Petz all of Williamsburg. He was preceded in death by his brother: Mark Glandorf and grandparents: Arnold and Anna Glandorf and Harold and Leona Roberts. Celebration of Life Service will be 10:00am Monday, November 5, 2007 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Williamsburg. Pastor Carl Cloeter will officiate. Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from4:00 to 8:00 pm at the Uhlmann-Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Williamsburg.
