Michael Denison

Michael L. Denison, age 58, of Marengo, passed away Monday, August 22, 2022, at his home. A celebration of life gathering will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at the Marengo American Legion, with military honors conducted by the Marengo American Legion Post #76 and the U.S. Navy Honor Guard. Memorials may be directed to the family. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Michael is survived by his daughter Amber (Tyler) Devick, of Marshalltown; two grandchildren, Alice Marie Linn Davis and Thomas Warren Devick, both of Marshalltown; his siblings, David Ferhrmann of Drummonds, TN, Sharon Lee Pals, of Marshalltown, Debra “Deb” Patterson, of Marshalltown, and his twin brother William “Bill” Denison, of Marshalltown. Also surviving are two nieces, Sherry Squire, of Green Mountain, Ashley Ruring, of Marshalltown; two nephews Josh Patterson, of Marshalltown and Eric Lampe, of Waterloo, along with his two dogs that loved him dearly, Keana and Ming. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Delores Denison and a nephew Joe Pals, of Marshalltown.

Michael Lloyd Denison was born December 3, 1963, in Marshalltown, the son of Charles and Delores (McKeag) Denison. He graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1982. Michael was united in marriage to Sherry Good on July 9, 1983. The couple later divorced. He served in the United States Navy “Sea Bee” for seven years. Michael was employed at Whirlpool Corporation in Amana, as a Maintenance Group Leader. He enjoyed fishing, camping, grilling and being outdoors.
