Merle Alan Morrison

Merle Alan Morrison was born February 10, 1962, in Sigourney, Iowa the son of Warren Albert & Naomi Ellen (Lockridge) Morrison. He attended Nelson School and graduated from West High School in 1983. He grew up in Iowa City, moved to North English after high school and moved to Systems Unlimited in the fall of 2013. Merle attended the North English Christian Church and had a passion for John Deere and John Wayne. Merle died on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Compass Memorial Hospital in Marengo, at the age of 63 years.

He is survived by his sister Joyce (Denny) Gibson of South English; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents; a brother Earl Morrison; and a sister Maxine Huber.

Celebration of Life Service will be 10:00 am, at the Powell Funeral Home in North English. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens in Iowa City. Visitation will be Sunday, from 1-3 pm, at the Powell Funeral Home in North English. Memorials may be given to Systems Unlimited. Messages and tributes may left at www.powellfuneralhomes.com.
