Max Wade

North English- Max Ellsworth Wade, was born April 21, 1921, near Harper, Iowa. He was the son of James Harrison & Margaret Ethel (Weimer) Wade. He attended country school and served in the US Army during WWII. On January 6, 1951, Max was united in marriage to Joan Crawford, to this union they were blessed with six children. They later divorced. Max drove the school bus for Keota Schools and later worked at Amana Refrigeration for 31 years. He enjoyed mushrooming and fishing. Max died on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at this home in North English at the age of 94 years.

He is survived by his children: Jackie Eckert (Marty) of Wellman, Debbie Shipley of West Branch, Marsha (Dan) Vinson of Palo, Mike Wade and Jeff (Cindy) Wade all of North English; a son-in-law Terry Van Dee of North English; 13 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 1 great, great grandchild. He was preceded by his parents; two brothers Francis and Gerald Wade; and a daughter Roxine Van Dee.

Celebration of Life Memorial Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 from 3-5 PM at the Powell Funeral Home & Cremation Service, North English. A general memorial fund has been established. Messages and tributes may be left at www.powellfuneralhomes.com
