Mary Jane Reschly

Mary Jane Reschly, 65, of Mt. Pleasant, IA, died Monday, January 12, 2009, at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington, IA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2009, at the Olson - Powell Memorial Chapel beginning at 12:00 p.m. where the family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. that evening. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at the Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel with the Reverend Jerry VanHooser officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Cemetery near Millersburg, IA. Memorials have been established for the American Diabetes Association. Born December 19, 1943, in Iowa County, IA, Mary Jane was the daughter of Raymond C. and Marjorie Lillian {Dietrich}Stockstell. She grew up in Iowa County and lived in Washington for many years. Mary graduated from Williamsburg High School. She married Marvin Bricker in Williamsburg. They divorced. Later she married Larry Reschly. Mary lived in Mt. Pleasant for the last seven years. Mary was a homemaker. She also worked in housekeeping at the Washington Super 8 Motel and was employed at the Maid Rite. Mary enjoyed playing Bingo, NASCAR Racing and collected stuffed animals. She especially loved spending time with her family. Survivors include her parents of Wellman, IA; one daughter, Janet Bricker of Slidell, LA; three sons, Michael (Gail) Bricker of Cedar Rapids, IA; Tim (Melissa) Reschly of Dallas, IA, and Terry Reschly of Washington, IA. Also surviving is one sister, Kathy (Roger) Blakley of Wellman, IA; three grandchildren, Richard Cottrell, Shannon Lipps and Reilee Loney, and four great-grandchildren, Isaiah and Isabelle Cottrell, and Brenden and Morgan Lipps. Mary was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Ann Stockstell and two brothers, Ron and Tim Stockstell.
