Mary Jane Dimmer

Mary Jane Dimmer, age 67, of Marengo, passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021, at Compass Memorial Hospital, Marengo. Funeral service: 3:00 p.m., Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, with Rev. Tim Miller officiating. Visitation: 1 to 3 p.m., Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. A memorial fund has been established. Masks and social distancing are required at all services.

Mary is survived by her husband Raymond Holsclaw; a daughter Janet Holsclaw; three grandchildren, Christopher, Allie and Kyrie Hamilton; four siblings, Donna, (Steve) Meier, of Marengo, Karen (Doug) Azevedo, of Williamsburg, Joyce (Alan) Schumacher, of Marengo, and Dennis Dimmer, of Marengo; two brothers-in-law Tony Azevedo, of Marengo and Loren Meyers, of Blairstown; and a sister-in-law Janna Dimmer, of Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents Eldon and Erma Dimmer; three sisters, Elaine, Nancy and Linda; and a brother Robert.

Mary was born July 10, 1953, in Maquoketa, the daughter of Eldon and Erma (Harding) Dimmer. She met her husband Raymond on July 10, 1973. The couple traveled for 18 years, before returning and making their home in Marengo in 1991. Mary enjoyed coloring pictures and doing puzzles. She loved animals and had many pets. Mary especially loved spending time with family and friends.
