Mary K. Breuklander

OSKALOOSA-Mary K. Breuklander, age 81, of Oskaloosa, died Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at MercyOne Des Moines.

            Mary was born March 24, 1941, in Sigourney, the daughter of LaRue and Joy (Pfaff) Roberts,  and graduated from Sigourney High School.  Mary married George F. Poe, Sr. and they later divorced.  She then married Dave Breuklander on December 26, 1977 in Las Vegas.  A longtime resident of Oskaloosa, Mary worked at Big Smith in Oskaloosa, the overall factory in New Sharon and retired from Pella Corp.  She enjoyed being outside, riding motorcycles and going to casinos.

            Survivors include her son: George F. Poe, Jr. of Beacon, two grandsons: David Poe and Travis Poe and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Dave on October 30, 1997; brother: Harold Roberts; sister: Marie Roberts; nephews: Paul Peiffer and Stanley Peiffer and niece: Mary Lou Bird.

            She will be cremated and no services are planned at this time.  Private family burial will be at Forest Cemetery in Oskaloosa at a later date.
