WASHINGTON - Marlo R. Ruegsegger was born June 2, 1947 in Washington, Iowa, the son of Leo and Mary (Miller) Ruegsegger. He grew up in rural Wellman and graduated from Mid Prairie High School in 1966. Marlo worked at Moore Business Forms and R.R. Donnelley for 40 years retiring in 2008. He lived in Kalona for five years before moving to Washington in 2013. Marlo participated in Civil War re enactments, enjoyed to travel, read, going down to morning coffee at Westside Petro. He also restored and enjoyed driving his dads 1951 Chevy pickup. Marlo died on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at his home in Washington.
Marlo is survived by a sister Bonnie (Bill) Swift of Washington, a brother Gordon (special friend Kathy Landers) Ruegsegger of Walford; 3 nieces Joni Luke, Teri Wilkerinson, Connie Melsha; and 3 nephews Randy Swift, Bret Swift, and Frank Ruegsegger. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be Monday, March 9, 2015 from 3-7 pm at the Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona. There will be no funeral service and burial will be at a later date in the South English Cemetery.
