Marilyn "Muggs" Sanders

Marilyn J. Sanders “Muggs”, age 69, of Grinnell, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at Compass Memorial Hospital. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2 to 6 p.m., Saturday, March 30, 2019 at the Grinnell Eagles Club, 616 Fourth Avenue, Grinnell, Iowa, 50112.

Marilyn is survived by her mother Phyllis; a daughter Jodi Bacon; two grandchildren Allica and Dylan Bacon; sister and brother-in-law Barb and Jim Howar; several nieces, nephews and many friends she called family. She is preceded in death by her father Orville and a brother David.

Marilyn graduated from Tri-County High School in 1968 and retired from Donaldson Company in Grinnell after 38 years. She had been a dedicated member of the Grinnell Local UAW 1201, the Gilman Red Hat Society and the Grinnell Eagles Auxiliary 2545. Marilyn will be greatly missed.

Marilyn was blessed to spend her last months being cared for by Jodi and living closer to Allica and Dylan. A million thanks to “Team Marilyn” for their love and time: Linda, Rose, Cindy, Sue, Carol, Leslie, Crayola, Mary Jo, Woody, Heather, Nilda, Stephanie, Jim and Barb.
