Marie E. Ferris was born on February 21, 1922 in North English, Iowa the daughter of Arthur H. and Gertrude Magoon Ferris. Marie graduated from Searsboro High School. She lived in South English before moving to North English in 1966. Marie was a member of the North English Christian Church. She cared for her parents until their deaths. Marie moved to Waterloo in 2004. She died on Sunday, August 2, 2009, at Manor Care Health Services in Waterloo at the age of 87 years. She is survived by sister Ruth Brower and her husband Ken of Waterloo. Marie was preceded in death by her parents. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday, August 6, 2009, in the North English Cemetery.
