Margaret Marie Jordan, was born January 17, 1920, in Delta, Iowa , daughter of William and Elizabeth Mack McAdams. Marie graduated from Delta High School and obtained her Elementary Teaching Certificate from William Penn College, Oskaloosa. She married Charles R. Jordan of North English, on October 14, 1939, and resided on their farm in Green Valley, near North English. Marie deeply loved her Lord, family the Seventh Day Adventist Church and her many friends. She devoted her life to helping others and prayed daily for all the members of her family, her extended family and many friends. Marie went to rest with the Lord, on January 11, 2011, in New River, Arizona, at the age of 90 years. She is survived by her 3 children: Bill (Tina) Jordan of New River Arizona, Rita (Donald) Jordan Baker of Miami, Florida and J. B. Jordan of Prescott, Arizona; 12 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles and grandson Brent. Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, January 15, 2011, at the Powell Funeral Home, North English. Pastor Edwin Jordan will officiate. Burial will be in the Piersol Cemetery, North English. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:30am until service time, at the Powell Funeral Home, North English.
