Margaret A. Davis was born on October 31, 1918 in Ramona, OK, a daughter of Robert Leroy and Myrtle Ann McIntire Davidson. She was united in marriage to Carlton Frink Davis in Chicago on October 3, 1948. Margaret was a member of the Lutheran Church. She worked ina bakery in Webster City, IA and had worked as a bookkeeper for Al Capone. She lived in Jones and Cedar Counties in Iowa before moving to North English in 1997. She has lived in Wellman since 2008. Margaret enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. Margaret died on Thursday, December 10, 2009 at Parkview Manor in Wellman. She lived 91 years, 1 month. and 10 days. She is survived by daughters: Mary & Chuck Roberts of Kinross, IA, Ella & David Jackson of Springfield, MO, and Carolyn Dalquist of St. Paul, MN; 25 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; 34 great great grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law Diane Davis of Cedar Rapids, IA. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband Carlton, 3 sons, a daughter, 2 sisters and 4 brothers. Memorial services will be held at the Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North English at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 19, 2009 with Pastor John Honn officiating. Visitation will be from noon until services time on Saturday, December 19th at the funeral home. A general memorial fund has been established.
