Pastor Marcus H. Beebe, age 66, of Springville, went to be with his Lord Thursday, December 13, 2018. Funeral services will be Friday, December 21, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Clover Ridge Methodist Church, Walford, with Rev. Mike Townsley officiating. Burial will be in the Koszta Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be Thursday, December 20, 2018, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Clover Ridge Methodist Church, Walford. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Marcus was born November 30, 1952, in Buffalo Center, Iowa, the son of Gordon and Anna Smoley Beebe. He graduated from Benton Community High School in 1971. Marcus served in the United States Air Force. He married Dale Lynn Rafeld on June 3, 1977, in Rowsburg, Ohio, welcoming her two children as his own. Following his service in the Air Force Marcus worked many jobs from truck driving to manufacturing. In 2014 he retired from the work force to answer his call to become a Pastor. Most recently he was a Pastor of Rochester United Methodist Church, Rochester, Iowa. Marcus was an Iowa farm boy with a dedication to hard work and family. Anyone who walked through his door was welcomed. He did not know strangers, just friends he hadn’t yet met. Marcus lived his life according to John 13:34 “ Love one another. As I have loved you…” His dream was to have a semi outfitted to be a mobile church, he wanted to offer services to fellow truck drivers at truck stops.

Marcus is survived by his wife Dale Lynn, his children Shane Beebe and Cherryl (Richard) Hatton; his siblings Stuart (Linda) Beebe and Leita (James) Privett; eight grandchildren Kiana, Marissa, Chelsea, Hanna, Joseph, Benjamin, Brian and Coy; four great grandchildren C.J., Nikki, Elijah and Michael. He was preceded in death by parents, and two sisters Carol Beebe and Rosella Pettit.

Marcus was a member of the Newhall American Legion Post 167 for 33 years.
