Marcella Clara White was born Thursday, October 19, 1922 in Clear Creek Township near Keota, Iowa the daughter of Henry and Barbara (Hammes) Peiffer. She attended Clear Creek School. She worked at a B52 Factory in Omaha, Nebraska during WW II. On April 20, 1948 she was united in marriage to Robert White in Clear Creek Township. They lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for a while before relocating to Harper. Marcella worked in the lunch room for the Keota Community School District. She was a member of the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Altar and Rosary, and the Women's Club. Marcella died suddenly on Wednesday, July 6, 2005 at the Washington County Hospital in Washington at the age of 82 years. Marcella is survived by her husband Robert of Keota; 9 children - Richard White of Keota; Donna Dempsey of Ronan, Montana; Cheryl Pauli and husband Pat of Cascade, Montana; Robert White and wife Jamie of Ronan, Montana; Roger White and wife Sonja of Greece; Russell White and wife Kim of Oak Harbor, Washington; Randall White of Keota; Ronald White and wife Wendy of Coralville; Rodney White and wife Lisa of Keota; 22 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 2 sisters - Evelyn Adam of Keota; Florence Wehr of Sigourney; and a brother - Herbert Peiffer of Sigourney. She was preceded in death by her parents; and 5 brothers - Elmer, Bernard, Edward, Norbert and Omar.
