Mandy Ann Shetler

KALONA - Mandy Ann Shetler was born November 24, 1943, in Kalona, Iowa, the daughter of Daniel and Lovina (Hochstetler) Shetler. She has lived in the Kalona community all of her life. Mandy was a member of the Kalona Community Amish Church. She worked at the Wayside Inn, Pleasantview Home and the Kalona News. Mandy passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City at the age of 75 years.
Mandy is survived by 2 sisters: Martha (Harlan) Miller of Crofton, KY; Lovina Marie (Melvin) Bontrager of Hicksville, OH; 3 brothers: Jake (Barbara) Shetler of Arthur, IL; Daniel (JoAnn) Shelter, Jr. of Indianapolis, IN; Joe (Rachelle) Shetler of Kalona; 5 step sisters: Lucinda (Blake Beaman) Schwartz of Wellman; Emma (Paul) Hochstetler of Kalona; Katie (Henry) Eicher of Richmond; Lydia Schwartz of Kearney, AZ; Elizabeth (Kent) Alexander of Tabor; 3 step brothers: Johnny (Carmen) Schwartz of Wellman; Sam (Serena) Schwartz of South English; Crist (Starla) Schwartz of Richmond; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a step brother David Schwartz.

Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 AM Sunday, March 24, 2019, at the Leslie Miller residence at 2851 560th St. SW in rural Kalona. Burial will be in the North Gingerich Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 6:00-8:00 PM and on Saturday from 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM at the Leslie Miller residence. The Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona is caring for Mandy and her family.
