Madia Jeffery

Madia Jeffery, 74, of Cedar Rapids, IA, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, IA, died Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at St. Luke's Living Center East in Cedar Rapids.Visitation will begin after 12 noon on Monday, January 16, 2017, at the Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. that evening. Pleasant, IA, Arion Madia was the daughter of John Galor and Arion Lela (Pfeiffer) Jeffery. She was a 1962 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School. Madia worked for Metromail from 1966 until 1997 as a machine operator. She was a member of Neighborhood Church in Cedar Rapids. She enjoyed doing puzzles, playing Bingo, and collecting Native American artifacts. Madia is survived by a son, Darrell Jeffery of Sacred Heart, MN; three grandchildren, Eddy Carroll of Washington, IA, Steven Jeffery of Marion, IA, and Amanda Williams of Oskaloosa, IA; a sister, Anna Williamson of Mt. Pleasant, IA; and a brother John Lee Jeffery of Salem, IA. She is also survived by a nephew, Mark Williamson of Kansas City, MO, a niece Ginger Hulke of Sterling, IL, along with a great-granddaughter and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
