Lynne Ray Docter, age 65 of Williamsburg, died on Thursday, August 11, 2005 at her home in Williamsburg after a 5 month illness. Lynne was born on October 15, 1939 in Orange City, Iowa the daughter of Janette Houtsma. She graduated from Orange City High School and was united in marriage to Harold J. Docter in Sibley, Iowa on August 10, 1956. The lived in Souix Falls, South Dakota and St.Cloud, Minnesota for a number of years before becoming involved in motel management. They have lived in Williamsburg the past seven years managing the Crest Country Inn. Lynne is survived by her husband Harold; two sons: Greg Docter and wife Cindy of Mitchell, South Dakota and Steve Docter and wife Yolanda of Denver, Colorado; eight grandchildren: Brittany, Lane and Taylor, Aaron, Crissa, Rebekah, Amanda and Alexander; two brothers: Bruce Mauw of Long Island, New York and Jeff Mouw of Souix City and a sister Cheryl Millen of Portland Oregon. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorial services are set for 10:30 Monday, August 15, at Trinity Reformed Church in Orange City, Iowa with Rev. Jon Opgenorth officiating. Burial is in the Lennox Cemetery in Lennox, South Dakota. The Uhlmann-Powell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
