Luke Aaron Wallace, age 6, of Lees Summit, MO, died Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at the Kansas City Children's Mercy Hospital from cancer. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 24, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at the Wayland Mennonite Church with Pastor Pam Unruh officiating. Burial will be in the Eicher Cemetery. Memorials have been established to the Children's Tumor Foundation, MO Chapter. Luke Aaron was born November 6, 2003 in Olathe, KS. He was a beautiful little boy with a great love for life and others. His favorite things included stars, Dora, Thomas the Train, Percy, crayons, markers and especially the color green. He loved his sister Abbey, who could always make him smile and laugh. He attended Pleasant Lea Elementary School in Mrs. Falkenberry's Kindergarten class, which was an especially proud time in his life. Luke's magnetic personality and gentle spirit drew people together and fostered friendships that will last forever. He is survived by his mother, Jamie Wallace and her fianc, Jason Yeager; a sister, Abbey Wallace; his father, John Wallace; a half sister, Alex Wallace; grandparents, Royce and Carla Leichty, Paul Wallace and Maggie Yeager; special cousins, Olivia and Hunter Leichty; numerous aunts, uncles; and by his best friend, Ryan Pelzer. Luke was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lovice Wallace and a grandfather of the heart, Richard Yeager.
