Loretta M. Fritchen, age 79 of Sigourney, died on Saturday, July 22, 2006 at Manor House Care Center in Sigourney of cancer. Loretta was born on Wednesday, December 29, 1926 near Hedrick, Iowa the daughter of Fred and Sylvia Gullett Morrow. She graduated from Sigourney High School and was united in marriage to Ward Leon Fritchen on May 23, 1946 in Sigourney. They lived and farmed near Sigourney until moving into town in 1995. She was a homemaker and helped with the farming. Loretta was a member of the Lancaster Christian Church, the Oskaloosa VFW Auxiliary Post 2235 and was a charter member of the Ollie Order of the Eastern Star #549. She is survived by a son Terry Fritchen and his wife Barbara of Sigourney; a granddaughter Kellie Clubb and her husband Dennis of Marion, a great granddaughter Sylvia Clubb, and a sister Maxine Loeffler of Brighton. Loretta was preceded in death by her parents and her husband in August 1997
