Loretta Hayward, 98, a longtime resident of Phoenix, AZ, who carried the goodness of Iowa farm country in her heart and everyday life, has returned to Mt. Pleasant, IA, where she was born on March 27, 1914. Her ashes will be buried with her mother and dad; Sylvester Lawrence and Mary Edith (Smith) Glashine. She is safe in heaven with her son, Dennis. Her spirit will look over her son, James Hayward and daughter, Ann Hayward, along with family and friends. Graveside services will be held Friday, September 21st, at 3:00 p.m. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Cemetery with Rev. Joseph Phung officiating. Loretta received her education at the St. Alphonsus School in Mt. Pleasant. She moved to Arizona in 1950. Loretta took joy throughout her life from the pleasures of family, friends and the world around her.
