Lorenzo Alberto Gonzalez was born April 8, 1959 in Guatemala the son of Juan and Maria (Cox) Gonzalez. He graduated from Truman College. He worked in the auto parts and electrical industries. Lorenzo died on Friday, February 1, 2013 at his home in Washington at the age of 53 years. Lorenzo is survived by two sons Carlos Alberto Gonzalez of Guatemala, Louis Alberto Gonzalez of Chicago, IL, three grandchildren, his mother Maria Gonzalez of Chicago, IL, four sister's Connie Morataya of Washington, Anna Hernandez of Chicago, IL, Irma Lopez of Washington, Maria Mondragon of Chicago, IL, and a brother Alfredo Gonzalez of Iowa City. He was preceded in death by his father. A memorial service will be held at noon on Monday, February 4, 2013 at the Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona.
