Lois Lamm, 102, of Mt. Pleasant, IA, died Sunday, September 2, 2007, at the Park Place Long Term Care Unit. Visitation for Mrs. Lamm will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2007, beginning after 12 noon until 8:00 p.m., at the Olson - Powell Memorial Chapel. There will be no family visitation time. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2007, at 10:30 a.m., at the Olson - Powell Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Hank Ledbetter officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Home Cemetery. Memorials have been established to the Fellowship Cup. Born September 13, 1904, in Salem, IA, Lois Kathrine, was the daughter of Edwin and Eugenia Lawrence Barton. She grew up in Salem, IA, and graduated from the Salem High School. On October 28, 1928, Lois married Rex A. Lamm and moved to Mt. Pleasant. He preceded her in death in April of 1977. Lois was a homemaker. She enjoyed entertaining family and spent many hours crocheting. A member of A.A.R.P., Lois volunteered many hours for the Senior Citizen Center, Iowa Wesleyan College, and for the Henry County Health Center. She was a member of the Congregational-Universalist Church. Mrs. Lamm is survived by two sons, Dean E. Lamm and his wife Dorothy of Mt. Pleasant, IA, and Keith E. Lamm and his wife Janet of Las Vegas, NV. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one step-grandchild, as well as several nieces and nephews. Along with her husband, Mrs. Lamm was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Max Barton and Tom Barton; and two sisters, Helen Fenton and Margery Leveling.
