Linda Lucille Garringer

Williamsburg- Linda Lucille Garringer was born January 18, 1948 in Williamsburg, Iowa, the daughter of William and Mildred (Iburg) Hulseberg. She graduated from Williamsburg High School in 1966. She earned a degree in Cosmetology from the Paris Academy in Cedar Rapids. Linda was united in marriage to Ralph Garringer on November 6, 1971 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Williamsburg. Linda owned and operated Linda's Beauty Salon, she retired from the salon after the death of her husband Ralph. Linda then worked for Williamsburg Foods until 2013. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, sewing, cooking, and bowling. She was an active member of St. Timothy's Lutheran Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Williamsburg. Linda died peacefully on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at St. Anthony Nursing Home in Carroll at the age of 71.

She is survived by her children, Amy (Mike) Cook of Winterset, their children: Abby and Emilie Mahan, Trenten, Chase and Jensen Cook, Jody (Jennifer) Garringer of Williamsburg, their children: Steven, Allison and Jacquelyn, Ted (Karen) Garringer of Carroll, their children: Reis and Regan, Rodney (Lynnae) Garringer of Coralville, their daughter: Amanda (Ryan) Slade, their children: Makayla, Elizabeth and Olivia, Terry Garringer of Williamsburg, his daughter: Hilary (Alex) Klyn and their son Griffin. Linda is also survived by three brothers, Robert Hulseberg, David (Darla) Hulseberg and Mark (Marilyn) Hulseberg all of Williamsburg, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and step-son Vonnie Lee.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 am Thursday, October 31, 2019, at St. Timothy's Lutheran Church in Williamsburg. Burial will be at Yankee Point Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg. There will be a VFW Ladies Auxiliary service at 7:00 pm. A general memorial has been established.
