Kalona- Linda Cox was born August 27, 1943, in Columbus Junction. The daughter of Stephen and Ruth (Kelly) Woodruff. Linda owned the Weathervane Antique Shop in Kalona. On June 7,1958 she was united in marriage to Larry Cox Sr. They lived all over the US and lived in the Kalona area for 28 years. She enjoyed spending time with family, antiques, and playing cards. Linda passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family in Kalona on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at the age of 77 years.
Linda is survived by her husband Larry Cox of Kalona, four children: Sherry Margelot of East Nassau, NY; Tamora Cox of Dubuque; Laura ( Tom) Moss of Saratoga Springs, NY and Larry (Bob Granger) Cox Jr. of Sacramento, CA; 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild: brothers Ron, Lynn and Jim Woodruff and sisters Joann Zieglowsky and Patty Stinson. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Margorie and Mary; 5 brothers: Bud, Charles, Paul, Larry and Bob.
A Memorial Service will be held 10:30 am Saturday, July 3, 2021 at the Columbus City Cemetery, in Columbus Junction. The Memorial Service will be on our Facebook page, live streamed. A visitation will be held form 10:00 am until service time. A memorial fund has been established for Iowa City Hacap. Messages and tributes may be sent to the family at www.powellfuneralhomes.com
