Levi M. Miller was born March 8, 1926 in Kokomo, Indiana, the son to Menno and Susan (Schlabach) Miller. On February 20, 1949 Levi was united in marriage to Clara Miller in Kalona. They lived and farmed in the Kalona community. Levi was a member of the Sharon Bethel Church and he started Christian Aid Ministries and served as the director for 8 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Levi passed away with family by his side on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at the Pleasantview Home in Kalona at the age of 90 years.
Levi is survived by his four children; James (Melody) Miller of Kalona; Phil Miller of Kalona; Nathan (Cheri) Miller of Kalona; Emma (Phil) Stutzman of Montrose, Colorado; 17 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; a brother Mose Miller of Buffalo, Missouri; and a sister Sara Miller of Kalona. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Clara in June 2016, a sister Elva Miller, and two brothers Ivan and David Miller.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at the Sharon Bethel Church in rural Kalona. Burial will be in the Sharon Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-5 and 6-9 PM on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at the Sharon Bethel Church. A memorial fund has been established for Iowa City Hospice, Sharon Bethel Church and Pleasantview Home. The Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona is caring for Levi and his family.
