CEDAR RAPIDS-LeRoy Weeks, age 73, of Belle Plaine, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, July 15, 2007, at the Belle Plaine Nursing and Rehab Center in Belle Plaine, following an extended illness. LeRoy was born January 21, 1934, near Marengo, Iowa, to Charles and Alta (Killian) Weeks and graduated from Delta High School. He served in the U.S. Army then moved to Cedar Rapids, where he retired from Square D. Survivors include two sons: Steve (Billye) Weeks of Marion and Randy (Carla) Weeks of Independence; two grandchildren: Jeremy and Christina; two sisters: Evelyn (Richard) Nunemaker of Hiawatha and Ruth (LaVaughn) Small of Chariton; one brother: George Weeks of Cedar Rapids; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister: Loretta Dlouhy and brother-in-law: Wes Dlouhy. Per LeRoy's wishes, he has been cremated and no services or visitation are planned. Burial will be at a later date at Community Cemetery near Millersburg. A general memorial has been established.
