Leona Adella Wille

Williamsburg- Leona Adella Wille was born January 19, 1926 near Homestead, Iowa, the daughter of Louis & Anna (Von Weihe) Huedepohl. She was baptized on January 21, 1926 and confirmed on March 17, 1940 at St. John Lutheran Church near Homestead. Leona was united in marriage to Eldon Henry Herman Wille on February 3, 1946 at St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Homestead. She resided in the Homestead and Williamsburg communities until moving to the English Valley Care Center, in North English. Leona was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Williamsburg. She enjoyed embroidering, doing word search puzzles, playing card and visiting with friends and family. Leona died on Monday, March 21, 2016 at the English Valley Care Center, North English, at the age of 90 years.

She is survived by her four children: Ronald (Margaret) Wille of Watertown, WI, Debra Eckholm of Williamsburg, Kevin (Sue) Wille of Ladora and Joan (Bob) Pepper of Tullahoma, TN; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and a sister Norma McCoy of Williamsburg. She was preceded by her parents; husband; four brothers: Elmer, Walter, Alfred and Clarence Huedepohl; six sisters: Linda Lorenz, Dora Lorenz, Frieda Jones, Agnes Soedt, Melva Wade, Flora Teggatz; a son-in-law Jim Eckholm; and a great-great granddaughter Brooke Lynn Pounds.

Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:30 AM on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Williamsburg. Rev. Richard Meyer will officiate. Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4-7 PM at the Powell Funeral Home, Williamsburg.
