Larry R. Burck

Williamsburg- Larry Ralph Burck was born August 21, 1938, near Millersburg, Iowa, the son of Ralph & Bertha (Tish) Burck. He graduated from Millersburg High School in 1956. On October 11, 1980 Larry was united in marriage to Maxine Elaine Johnson at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Millersburg. He owned and operated Burck Tire Co. Inc., retiring in 1995. Larry was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Williamsburg. He loved going to casinos, playing cards and spending time with his family. He never knew a stranger. Larry, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to all, passed away at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City with family by his side on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at the age of 79 years.

He is survived by his wife: Maxine of Williamsburg; three daughters: Debra (Bob) Schmidt of Deep River, Deb Miller of Deep River and Shelly Reiten of North Liberty; two sons: David of Deep River and Dan (Kris) of rural North English; ten grandchildren; seven grandchildren; and a sister: Janice Taylor of Des Moines. He was preceded by his parents and grandparents.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 pm on Friday, December 22, 2017 at the Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg. A general memorial fund has been established. His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him. Messages and tributes may be left at www.powellfuneralhomes.com
