Larry John Shaull

April 16, 1952 — September 5, 2016

Williamsburg- Larry John Shaull was the son of Harlyn (Gump) and Elaine Catherine (Meyer) Shaull on April 16, 1952 in Belle Plaine, Iowa. He graduated from Williamsburg High School in 1970 and Loras College in 1974. Larry was united in marriage to Colleen C. Murphy on December 28, 1974 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Parnell. Larry was employed by Home Oil in Williamsburg, Iowa County Assessors and later the Johnson County Assessors Office. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching his grandsons play baseball and was an avid sports fan including the Williamsburg Raiders, Iowa Hawkeyes, the Dodgers and was a Packer Backer. Larry passed away on Monday, September 5, 2016 at his home at the age of 64 years.

He is survived by his wife Colleen; a son: Todd (Melanie) Shaull of Cedar Rapids; a daughter: Emily (Shane) Phillips of Williamsburg and 6 grandchildren: Patrick, Breanna, Kyla, Landon, Hanna and Ian. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters: Cathy Shaull and an infant Jean Shaull.

Celebration of Life Service will be 10:30 am Saturday, September 10, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Williamsburg. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at the Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg. Memorials are for Iowa Lake Scout Camp. Messages and tributes may be left at www.powellfuneralhomes.com.
