Larry Allen Hamer

Cedar Rapids- Larry Allen Hamer was born June 5, 1951 in Iowa, the son of Lorine (Zimmerman) Hamer. He graduated from Williamsburg High School. He worked in the Williamsburg Dairy until moving to Cedar Rapids and working in various factories over the years. He retired from Procter & Gamble. Larry was an avid Iowa Women's Hawkeye Basketball fan. Larry died on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at his home in Cedar Rapids at the age of 69 years.

He is survived by a brother, Richard Hamer of Marion; a sister, Leota "Lee" Schwarting of Williamsburg; two sisters-in-law Fran (Ken) De Marce of Cedar Rapids and Carolyn Hamer of Hiawatha; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by his mother Lorine; two brothers, Ronald & Raymond Hamer; and a brother-in-law Harlan Schwarting.

Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held 10:30 am on Friday, May 14, 2021 at Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg. Burial will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Conroy, Iowa.
