Kim Wasson

September 21, 1955 — February 7, 2015

Kim Wasson was born September 21, 1955 in Washington, Iowa the son of Wayne and Lola (Moomey) Wasson. He attended Mid-Prairie High School. On March 1, 1975 Kim was united in marriage to Nancy Shaver in Wellman. Kim worked for Kruse Construction in Williamsburg. He was a member of the Kinross Christian Church. Kim enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, arrowhead hunting, snowmobiling, fishing, and mushroom hunting. Kim passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015 in Kinross at the age of 59 years.

Kim is survived by his wife Nancy of Kinross, three children; Toni Miller of Kinross, Derek Wasson of Williamsburg and Brandy (Lucas) Darling of Urbandale, his parents Wayne and Lola Wasson of Wellman, five grandchildren; Kennady Miller, Carsen Miller, Alex Darling, Micah Darling and Davin Wasson, a sister Deb (Doug) Ulin of Wellman and 2 brothers; Jerry (Jeanette) Wasson of Washington and Tracy Wasson of Wellman. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a nephew Kyle Wasson.

Celebration of Life Service will be 6:00 pm Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at the Powell Funeral Home in Wellman. Rev. Jim Stout will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in the Wassonville Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Powell Funeral Home. A general memorial fund has been established.
