Kevin Oxley

Kevin Francis Oxley was born October 21, 1962 in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Herbert and Julia (Stark) Oxley. Kevin grew up in West Branch and attended West Branch High School. He worked for the city of Iowa City and Mercy Hospital in maintenance. Kevin was united in marriage to Denise Gerard on January 25, 1992 in Iowa City, and later divorced. He enjoyed spending time with his family, cutting wood, riding his motorcycle, Iowa Hawkeye sports and loved his dogs. Kevin passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at the University of Iowa Hospital at the age of 52 years.

Kevin is survived by his three children; Chase, Courtney and Haleigh Oxley all of Wellman, and their mother Denise of Wellman; his mother Julia Oxley of West Branch, nine siblings; Monica Chavera of West Liberty, Joseph Oxley of West Branch, James Oxley of West Liberty, Rose Laing of Wapello, Brian Oxley of Muscatine, Timothy Oxley of Cedar Rapids, Marcus Oxley of Tipton, Laura Fuhrmeister of Lone Tree and John Oxley of Tiffin. He was preceded in death by father Herbert, a sister Janella and a niece Jenny.

Funeral Service will be held 10:30 am Monday, March 16, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Riverside, Iowa. Rev. David Brownfield PhD officiate. Burial will be in the Wellman Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, March 16, 2015 from 9:00 am until service time. A memorial fund has been established for Kevin Oxley's Children.
