Kevin A. Moeller, 59, formerly of Houghton, IA, died Wednesday, August 3, 2016, in the emergency room of Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, IA.Visitation will begin after 12 noon on Friday, August 5, 2016, at Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel, 709 E. Mapleleaf Drive in Mt. Pleasant, IA. A Rosary will be recited at 5:00 p.m. that evening at the Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel, after which the family will greet friends until 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, August 6, 2016, at St. John's Catholic Church in Houghton, IA with the Rev. Bruce DeRammelaere, celebrant. Burial will follow in St. John's Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers contributions be directed to St. John's Catholic Cemetery in his memory. On-line condolences may be directed to www.olsonpowell.com.Born October 3, 1956, in Ft. Madison, IA, Kevin Albert was the son of Albert John and Mary Catherine Scharpman Moeller. He was a 1975 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School. He attended Creighton University.In September of 1990, he married Zoe Hampton in St. Charles, MO. They later divorced. Kevin had a long career with Hardee's starting behind the counter and advancing until he was a district supervisor in the St. Louis area for over 40 stores. His career lead him to Mt. Pleasant, Keokuk, Des Moines, the Quad Cities, and St. Louis. He semi-retired in June of 2013. Due to declining health, Kevin completely retired later that year. Kevin was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan.Kevin is survived by four brothers, Marvin (Glenda) Moeller of Houghton, IA, Darrell (Joyce) Moeller of Salem, IA, Paul (Sharon Walden) Moeller of Salem, IA, and Greg (Lana) Moeller of Mt. Pleasant, IA; three sisters, Marilyn (Roger) Boecker of Burlington, IA, Vera (Lonnie) Glasscock of Ft. Madison, IA, and Eileen (Bob) Barnett of Salem, IA; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Kevin was preceded in death by three brothers, Dennis Moeller, Larry Moeller, and Victor Moeller.
