Kevin Cross

Kevin Cross, 44, of Fairfield, IA, died Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at the Jefferson County Memorial Hospital Emergency Room. Visitation will begin after 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2009, at the Olson - Powell Memorial Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday evening. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 13, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at the Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jerry Van Hooser officiating. Interment will be in the Middletown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be directed to the Justin Cross Memorial Fund. Born March 20, 1965, in Burlington, IA, Kevin Todd was the son of Paul E. and Marcia A. (Dickman) Cross. He was a 1984 graduate of Danville High School. He was employed as a production worker for various industries and had also been engaged in farming for the past several years. Kevin was a big guy with a big heart. He cherished family times together and spending every available moment with his son, Justin. He was always available for a fishing outing or a round of golf. Kevin had a strong faith and a firm belief in his God. Survivors include his parents, Paul and Marcia Cross of Mt. Pleasant, IA; his son, Justin Tyme Cross of Fairfield, IA; his wife, Theresa Carson of Fairfield, IA; one sister, Kathy Cross of Winterset, IA; a step-daughter, Cursty Carson of Fairfield, IA; a step-granddaughter, Madison Kindle of Fairfield, IA; and by his grandmother, Ruby Cross of Burlington, IA. Kevin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Norbert Cross, and Clarence and Helen Dickman.
