KEOTA-Kenneth Eugene Snow, age 71, of Keota, died Wednesday, August 11, 2004, at his home, following a long illness. Kenny was born February 2, 1933, in Kahoka, Missouri, to Lester and Mary (Anders) Snow and attended school in Washington, Iowa. On June 23, 1956 he married Sally Ann Ellis in Washington. The couple lived in the Washington and Keota communities all their married lives. Kenny drove a truck for Fagen Elevator for 35 years and enjoyed telling stories, fishing and dancing. Survivors include his wife: Sally of Keota; four children: Kitty M. Polhamus of Newton, Melvin Snow of West Chester, Kenneth Snow, Jr. of Gladstone, Illinois and Beatrice Snow of Redfield; 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; two brothers: Lester snow of Millageville, Illinois and Charles Snow of North English. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter: Brenda Lee and three sisters. Memorial graveside services are set for 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 13, 2004, at Keota Cemetery with Rev. Frances Baumert officiating. Interment will be in Keota Cemetery. There will be no visitation. A general memorial fund has been established. Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Keota is handling the arrangements.
